What to Expect at Your First Chiropractic Appointment
Your first visit is designed to understand your body properly before any treatment begins. It lasts 45–60 minutes and is with Ida Norgaard herself. You do not need a GP referral, and you are welcome to ask questions at any point.

Step by Step
How Your First Consultation Works
- Case history: we talk through your symptoms, your personal and family medical history and what you want to achieve.
- Examination: a clinical and postural assessment, with orthopaedic or neurological tests when needed, to identify the likely cause of your pain.
- Treatment and advice: where appropriate, hands-on treatment is started, together with exercises and postural advice.
Your treatment plan is explained during the consultation, based on your symptoms.

How to Prepare for Your Appointment
Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Bring a list of any medication you take, and any previous scans or reports that relate to your problem. It also helps to note when your symptoms started and what makes them better or worse.

Fees and Payment
The initial consultation costs £160 and follow-up treatment sessions cost £90. Payment is taken at the time of service and a receipt is provided for your insurer. Full details are on our chiropractor London prices page.
