The chiropractic adjustmentin Victoria – London

Chiropractic Principles in our Clinic in Victoria- London

Chiropractic is a health profession dedicated to restoring and maintaining health. It is a natural approach that avoids taking medication, prolonged work stoppages, disability and certain surgical procedures.

Fundamental Chiropractic Principles in our clinic in Victoria-London:

Your spine is a reflection of your state of health and determines your health potential.
Your spine protects your nervous system, the two are intimately linked anatomically and physiologically.
The human body is an organism that manages itself. The nervous system regulates the complex functioning of the body.
When there is interference with the normal functioning of the nervous system (presence of vertebral subluxations), the result is an overall impairment of the body’s ability to function well and heal.

The nervous system keeps us alive because it ensures a perfect balance by coordinating all the major systems of the body (respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, hormonal, immune, lymphatic, etc.).

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a health profession. It is based on a global conception of the functioning of the body and the relationships between the spine, the nervous system and certain health disorders. It thus takes into account the recuperative faculties of the human body.

Its purpose is the detection, correction and prevention of dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system and its consequences, particularly in the spine and limbs.

Chiropractic uses non-drug and conservative therapeutic methods, that is to say, it does not resort to surgery or injections. It is mainly based on acts of spinal manipulation (manual or instrumental, forced or not) and mobilization of the joints of the body.

Is chiropractic effective against cervical facet joint pain?

Focused on treating each patient as an individual, we strive to get you back into top form in the shortest amount of time possible. We shall tend to your every need. A detailed diagnosis will help us to find the root cause of your problem so we can focus on treating it effectively.

In terms of sources of neck and lower back pain, facet joint issues are some of the most typical. They lead to debilitating, chronic complications with the back and neck, as well as more consequential symptoms and conditions, some of which can be disabling. Cervical facet joint syndrome, also known as cervical facet osteoarthritis, is a degenerative problem that’s characterised by pain and stiffness in the neck section of your spine.

Once patients are diagnosed with the affliction, treatments are commonly conservative in nature. A doctor might recommend posture correction, soft tissue massage, and physical therapies. These tend to be melded with medications like anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen, or muscle relaxants to aid in easing the spasms that occur in the muscles present around the distressed joint.

In the world of chiropractic, chiropractors have had a great level of success when it comes to treating cervical facet joint pain. They possess the skills to treat the affected areas, restoring the restricted, painful facet joints to the point where they move better and without pain. As time passes, by participating in periodic treatments, a normal range of motion in the neck region can be re-established. This is all accomplished without the need for injections or medication, standing as a gentle, natural and fruitful way of soothing pain.

At Inc Health our chiropractor Ida Norgaard are instructed in the distinctive diagnosis of neuro-musculoskeletal pain. In order to rule out certain possibilities, we discuss your medical history with you, after which we should be able to draw up a suitable conclusion and get started on treatment.

To begin your path towards recovery, get in touch with the clinic and arrange a consultation with one of best chiropractor Victoria has to offer.

I had pretty bad back pain, so went to see them. Managed to get a same day appointment. The service was great, friendly, and I left being able to walk without anywhere near as much pain as when I walked in. I will be going back a few more times before I am fully fit. Update - A year or so later I still go here if I have issues. Ida is really great.

The Chiropractors Act provides statutory regulation for the profession and protects its title ‘chiropractor’. The General Chiropractic Council (GCC) is responsible to enforce these laws, so it’s illegal without being registered with them.

What happens during a consultation ?

It takes place in three stages:

-Anamnesis / questions: Your chiropractor takes note of your pain / symptoms, your personal and family medical history, which allows him an initial analysis of your pain.

-The clinical / postural examination: It will identify the cause of your pain (orthopedic, neurological and vascular tests if necessary).

-Treatment: Your chiropractor will perform treatments to treat the origin of your pain. Exercises, as well as postural and dietary advice can also be offered to you.

Several consultations may be necessary in order to treat your pathology and obtain lasting results. The treatment plan will be communicated to you during the consultation according to your symptoms.

How many consultations are needed?

The number of consultations will depend mainly on your pathology / pain, its seniority, your age and your ability to recover. The number and frequency will be proposed to you from the first session.

How long does it take for a chiropractor to fix sciatica?

Is chiropractic suitable for my child or during my pregnancy?

For kids :

Treatment techniques are suitable for children. They will be different depending on their age, height and weight. I don’t use manipulations until I’m 11.

For pregnant women:

Chiropractic is recommended for pregnant women. It helps relieve pregnancy-related pain, as well as relaxes the muscles of the pelvis. This allows your baby to have more room in your belly and therefore to develop and position themselves better.

I use a chiropractic table that adapts to your body and gentle techniques to relieve your pain or muscle tension. During the consultation I will show you exercises to do alone or in pairs to relax your back.

The frequency of consultations varies according to your needs.

For a so-called “normal” pregnancy without pain, it is recommended to consult once per trimester.

In the case of pain, the frequency of consultations will be explained to you during your first session.

It is advisable to consult once a month for an ideal follow-up.

Do I need to see my doctor for chiropractic care?

No. Chiropractic is a so-called first-line profession, so you do not have to consult your doctor to consult in chiropractic. However, it is advisable to speak to your general practitioner and to keep a regular follow-up.

How do chiropractors know where to adjust?

We use our hands to carefully examine the patient’s response and range of motion, as well gait. This allows us a better understanding on where we need work with their body in order get them feeling better again

Do chiropractors hurt?

The process of receiving an adjustment is painless because it doesn’t involve any intense feelings or physical discomfort. You may experience pops and cracks, but these will not last long enough for you to feel anything else than mild soreness following your visit with us!

The improvement of quality-of life is really a stand out factor, and it can make for happier days than surgery or other expensive medical treatments might not provide you with; however there are drawbacks as well such as higher costs associated with visiting your chiropractor regularly.
